General Terms and Conditions of mobile services provided by
Trident Telecom Ventures Limited

All SIM cards issued by Trident ("Trident SIM Cards") and all mobile services using Trident SIM Cards or related services arising thereof ("Trident Services") made available to customers by Trident Telecom Ventures Limited ("Trident") are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Use of Trident SIM Cards or any of Trident Services constitutes acceptance by the customer of the General Terms and Conditions contained herein.
  2. Trident SIM Card once purchased is non-refundable.
  3. Trident SIM Card must be activated on or before the expiry date printed on cardholder certificate and/or the packaging material. If the Trident SIM Card is not activated on or before the expiry date the Trident SIM Card shall become invalid. All unused prepaid amount or stored value shall be forfeited.
  4. Trident SIM Card provides customer with local calls, IDD calls and other service according to the tariff and charges published by Trident (available at the official website: http://www.tridenttelecom.com.hk/). Trident has the right to adjust the tariff and charges of any Trident Services by publication of such adjustment, new tariff or charges on its official website provided that such adjustment shall not be of retrospective effect before the date of publication.
  5. All voice call whether local calls, IDD or otherwise and other time based services (unless specified otherwise) are charged on a per minute basis and rounded up to the nearest minute for each call.
  6. When making an IDD call, local airtime charges for the same period of the IDD call shall also be added to the IDD airtime charges.
  7. If in the reasonable opinion of Trident, any Trident SIM Card is damaged, becomes faulty or mal-functional due to improper usage, Trident may at its discretion replace the SIM Card, which is subject to the payment of handling charges for card replacement.
  8. All questions and disputes regarding the airtime, charges, remaining credit and expiry date of any Trident SIM Card shall be decided by Trident at its own discretion or in accordance with the records of Trident and this decision shall be final unless the customer can prove otherwise.
  9. Trident does not provide refund or make any transfer for:
    9.1 any unused amount of airtime or stored-value of any Trident SIM Card whether before or after its expiry date;
    9.2 any amount of airtime or stored-value of recharge card recharged to an incorrect Trident SIM Card or account due to improper recharge procedure or operation by the customer;
    9.3 any amount of airtime or stored-value of any Trident SIM Card being utilized by fraudulent and unauthorized use of the Trident SIM Card;
    9.4 any amount of airtime or stored-value in a lost Trident SIM Card or in any Trident SIM Card terminated or suspended pursuant to Condition 11 below.
  10. In case of lost of any Trident SIM Card, Trident shall not be responsible or liable for any amount of airtime or stored-value of the lost Trident SIM Card being utilized during the period of loss.
  11. Trident reserves the right to terminate or suspend any or all Trident Service at any time without prior notice should there be in the reasonable opinion of Trident that the Trident SIM Card or the Trident Service has been, or is likely to be used for illegal or fraudulent purpose, in violation or non-compliant with any regulatory requirements, licensing conditions of Trident, code of practice issued by a competent authority or the telecommunication industry or in breach of the agreement between the customer and Trident. And Trident shall not be liable for any claim, loss and damages suffered by customers or any third party arising from such termination or suspension.
  12. Trident shall use its reasonable effort to maintain its system and facilities, however Trident shall not be liable for any claim, loss and damages suffered by customers or any third party arising from the failure, damages or mal-functioning of its switching system, network, computer, control system, alarm and alert system, power supply system and related facilities or those of any third parties with whom Trident has any interconnections.
  13. Trident reserves the right to amend any and all terms and conditions contained herein provided such amendment is published on the aforesaid website of Trident 30 days before it becomes effective.
