Privacy Policy Statement of TRIDENT TELECOM VENTURES LIMITED

This Privacy Policy Statement summarizes the obligations of TRIDENT TELECOM VENTURES LIMITED ("TRIDENT") and your rights in relation to the personal data held by TRIDENT.

Principle and Commitment

TRIDENT respects privacy and personal data. TRIDENT shall comply with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance including all relevant Codes of Practice issued by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Main Purposes of collecting and keeping personal date

As a pre-paid services provider, Trident doesnot collect any personal information from our customers in regular provision of our services.
However, TRIDENT will collect and keep your personal data for the following purposes :-

(a) for the provision of some of TRIDENT's services and products to you, which required your personal data, for example leading of handset to you, whether these services and products are implemented by TRIDENT or by any third party vendor of TRIDENT;
(b) for carrying out your instructions or responding to your enquiry and complaint;
(c) for general administration and forming customer data base, account and credit management, including collection of amount outstanding from you;
(d) for promotion and marketing of TRIDENT's products and services;
(e) for designing further products and services for you and general business development of TRIDENT;
(f) for complying with any legal, governmental or regulatory requirements of Hong Kong or other relevant jurisdictions; and/or
(j) for any purposes related to and/or for the furtherance of any of the above.

Kind of Personal Data that may be collected and held by TRIDENT includes :-

(a) Name;
(b) Gender;
(c) Identity Card No/Passport No and copy;
(d) Nationality;
(e) Occupation/Profession;
(f) Name of company/organization;
(g) Address;
(h) Telephone and fax numbers; and/or
(i) E-mail address.

All personal data will be collected on a voluntary and fair basis. Whilst you are entitled to refuse to provide any of the aforesaid personal data, incomplete disclosure may prevent TRIDENT from rendering first class service to you as a valued customer of TRIDENT.

Security and Archive

All personal data if collected are held and stored in a secure place or system such that any unauthorized access is prohibited. The personal data will be archived by TRIDENT after termination of services or fulfillment of the purposes stated above as soon as it is reasonably practicable to do so, but in any event not more than 3 years after its termination unless we have to do otherwise as a legal or statutory obligation.

Transfer and Disclosures and Direct Marketing

Unless TRIDENT hears from you to the contrary, your personal data may be transferred and/or disclosed to:-

(a) employees and officers of TRIDENT;
(b) associated companies of TRIDENT's group of companies;
(c) contractors/sub-contractors, business partners and agents of TRIDENT; and/or
(d) credit reference agencies of TRIDENT.

Unless TRIDENT hears from you to the contrary,TRIDENT may contact you from time to time with a view to providing the latest information on products and services.

Accuracy, Access and Correction

TRIDENT will take all reasonable and practicable steps to ensure that the personal data so collected are accurate. And you are always welcome to update and correct your personal data thereafter. You have the right to know (i) the privacy policy of TRIDENT, (ii) whether TRIDENT holds any of your personal data; and (iii) the kind of personal data being held by TRIDENT. You also have the right to request for a copy of your personal data, if any, at a reasonable reproduction costes and postage and you have the right to request for correction of your personal data held by TRIDENT at any time.
